  Bakuchiol is found in the seeds and leaves of psorealea corylifolia (Bituminaria). It is a gentler alternative to retinol and has antioxidant and antibacterial properties. Unlike retinol, it does not reduce the size of the fat gland and does not cause irritation or dryness, and therefore is idea for dry, sensitive skin.

  Hyaluronic acid, is a natural glycosaminoglycan (GAG) found in the skin’s support matrix. GAGs bind up to 1000 times their weight in water. When applied topically, they attract water and moisturize. Studies have also shown that hyaluronic acid can increase the presence of retinoic acid (which assists in skin regeneration and hydration) as well as increase collagen synthesis.

  The maca root is called the ''Peruvian ginseng''. It has a higher fat content than other roots and is rich in fatty acids: linolenic acid and oleic acid. The maca root is a rich source of sterols that boost the immune system. It is also rich in many minerals, such as calcium and iron, and contains essential trace elements, such as iodine zinc and copper.

  NLC retinol (nano-lipid technology) allows for deeper and better penetration of the active ingredient and prevents its degradation and oxidation. The result is an antiaging effect deep within the epidermis. Retinol has many beneficial effects on the skin, such as treatment of hyperkeratosis (thickening of the stratum corneum) and scarring, treatment of skin spots and acne caused by impaired keratinization at the sebaceous gland exits, and collagen synthesis.
